What has Levi been up to during lockdown so far?
Here are some photos and a story that Levi wrote about the past week!
"In lockdown this week we have been making lots of cool forts. We got to sleep in them too.We made a race track and we raced the cars around the loop. We helped mum cook pizzas. The pizzas were delicious.
we helped my dad pull all of the weeds. out from the driveway."
At the end of Term 3, we will be having our school cross country.
Utukura, Paaka and Khittamai have some great cross country tips to help you prepare for the big day!
Since we are in Level 4 lockdown right now, you might enjoy running around your backyard or going for walks with your family.
Remember to hop off your playstation, Chromebook or iPad during lockdown and do some fun exercise every day!
This term we are learning about health and wellbeing for inquiry.
This is team 3's video to show how sleep, food and drink can play a huge part in how your day goes.
On the final day of term 2, our school celebrated Matariki together. Each team did something fun. Team 3 all split up and went to different teachers for the day. Miss Scanlan's group made star slime and cellophane stars to hang in the window. It was a lovely way to end term 2!
This term we have been learning about Space! We have been doing so much fun space art in room 22. We created our own planets and stars and then painted them. Afterwards, we covered them in colourful, shimmery glitter. We learnt all about how planets are different sizes, temperatures and distances apart.

This year room 22 has been having fun learning letter sounds, blends, word families and sight words.
We play games, use playdough, lego, flashcards, chalk and lots of other cool things to become more confident at reading and writing.
During the Auckland lockdown, we have been on Google Meet every day. Today was a record breaker!
49 people from team 3 were on our Meet together! It has been so great seeing your happy faces team 3.
On Friday we had our school picnic. Our whole school walked over to Pt England beach and we spent the day playing, swimming and eating in the sun. We played sports like volleyball and rugby and we rode bikes with Ms Tumahai. We listened to music all day and had so much fun with our friends.
What a happy day!
Hello 2021!
Room 22 has had a fantastic start to the new year. One of our highlights so far has been the new lunch in schools programme. Every child gets to have a free lunch, provided by the government.
Last week, our Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern visited our school to see how our lunches are going. How cool!
