Tips for Cross Country

At the end of Term 3, we will be having our school cross country. 

Utukura, Paaka and Khittamai have some great cross country tips to help you prepare for the big day!

Since we are in Level 4 lockdown right now, you might enjoy running around your backyard or going for walks with your family.

Remember to hop off your playstation, Chromebook or iPad during lockdown and do some fun exercise every day! 

Healthy Me, Healthy You

This term we are learning about health and wellbeing for inquiry.

This is team 3's video to show how sleep, food and drink can play a huge part in how your day goes. 

Matariki Day Art

On the final day of term 2, our school celebrated Matariki together. Each team did something fun. Team 3 all split up and went to different teachers for the day. Miss Scanlan's group made star slime and cellophane stars to hang in the window. It was a lovely way to end term 2!

Galaxy Art

In term 2, we made some pretty cool space art! Earlier in the term, we learnt about the Milky Way.
We had so much fun using sponges to create the beautiful colours in the Milky Way and then we got to do some cool spray painting! Miss Scanlan put paint in spray bottles so that we could make the stars.

Fun phonics and sight words in room 22

This year room 22 has been having fun learning letter sounds, blends, word families and sight words.
We play games, use playdough, lego, flashcards, chalk and lots of other cool things to become more confident at reading and writing. 

School Picnic

On Friday we had our school picnic. Our whole school walked over to Pt England beach and we spent the day playing, swimming and eating in the sun. We played sports like volleyball and rugby and we rode bikes with Ms Tumahai. We listened to music all day and had so much fun with our friends.

What a happy day!
