Healthy Me, Healthy You

This term we are learning about health and wellbeing for inquiry.

This is team 3's video to show how sleep, food and drink can play a huge part in how your day goes. 

Matariki Day Art

On the final day of term 2, our school celebrated Matariki together. Each team did something fun. Team 3 all split up and went to different teachers for the day. Miss Scanlan's group made star slime and cellophane stars to hang in the window. It was a lovely way to end term 2!

Galaxy Art

In term 2, we made some pretty cool space art! Earlier in the term, we learnt about the Milky Way.
We had so much fun using sponges to create the beautiful colours in the Milky Way and then we got to do some cool spray painting! Miss Scanlan put paint in spray bottles so that we could make the stars.

Stars and Planets

This term we have been learning about Space! We have been doing so much fun space art in room 22. We created our own planets and stars and then painted them. Afterwards, we covered them in colourful, shimmery glitter. We learnt all about how planets are different sizes, temperatures and distances apart.

Fun phonics and sight words in room 22

This year room 22 has been having fun learning letter sounds, blends, word families and sight words.
We play games, use playdough, lego, flashcards, chalk and lots of other cool things to become more confident at reading and writing. 

Google Meet Record Breaker

During the Auckland lockdown, we have been on Google Meet every day. Today was a record breaker!

49 people from team 3 were on our Meet together! It has been so great seeing your happy faces team 3.

School Picnic

On Friday we had our school picnic. Our whole school walked over to Pt England beach and we spent the day playing, swimming and eating in the sun. We played sports like volleyball and rugby and we rode bikes with Ms Tumahai. We listened to music all day and had so much fun with our friends.

What a happy day!
