The Manaiakalani Film Festival: AJ's memories

On Wednesday  we went To the MANAIAKALANI FILM FESTIVAL.We watched Pt England School Videos.

We got to Sylvia park Hoyts on the bus. We got in the Manaiakalani festival and it was so dark.

My favourite movie was love Generation because it had love in the the movie.Miss Scanlan made the movie.The movie was about Love Generation.

How to make instant ice cream!

Last week, room 13 learnt how to make ice cream!
We had so much fun and it was delicious.

We learnt that salt and ice are like MAGIC because they can help you to make ice cream in just 10 minutes!

Delijah: The Science of Popcorn

Last week, we made Popcorn! Delijah made this awesome blog post to explain how popcorn changes. It starts off as sweetcorn, then it gets dried up into a kernel and then heat makes the kernel pop!

Tha Zin: The Coke and Mentos Experiment!

This term we are learning how to use scientific language. Each time we do an experiment, we will predict, ask questions, discuss and summarize!

Room 13 really wanted to know how high the Coke and Mentos experiment would go so we tested it and it did not go that high at all but all at the end it was so fun.

Ch-ch-ch-ch changes!

This term our school topic is 'Ch-ch-ch-ch changes' . We will be learning all about science and how matter changes.  

On Monday, we kicked it off with the Coke and Mentos experiment. It was explosive!

  

On Wednesday, we made Oobleck. It was crazy how the Oobleck was a solid when you tried to hit it and a gooey liquid when you dripped it slowly. We had so much fun.
